IMA North America's HYBRID-39 Slat Counter is a high-speed tablet and capsule counting machine built on the mechanical foundations of the Lakso and Merrill slat counter platforms. Using 39-in.-wide slats in 48 or 72 slat configurations, the HYBRID-39 handles a wide range of solid dose formats including tablets, capsules, caplets, gel caps, and custom shapes, with output speeds of up to 300 bottles per minute and container compatibility ranging from 30–98 mm in diameter and 40–200 mm in height. Count verification is performed by the patented TruCount® system, which uses LED lighting and photo-detectors to evaluate each product in free fall after it leaves the slat cavity and before it enters the bottle, with an automatic reject mechanism that removes any bottle with an incorrect count.

Additional Offerings

Our Lakso® 150i and 300i Cotton Inserting Machines utilize the inverted “U” technique of inserting cushioning material into containers. This technique ensures that bottles are well packed and helps maintain product integrity by allowing for a cleaner packing process which eliminates stray wisps of cotton. Cotton inspection systems are available to detect high or missing cotton, either as an integrated add-on to an existing machine, or as a separate stand-alone inspection station.
