Aagard Group, LLC
Aagard has developed a new variety tray former multipacking system that addresses the business challenge of automating the packaging of variety packs in multiple configurations, including thousands of variations. The high-speed system, capable of packaging 100 cases per minute, can automatically adjust flavor mapping changes with a single touch of an HMI button. The process involves Rockwell Automation gantry robots selecting the pattern, followed by iTRAK® components adjusting to fit the product. The system is designed to accommodate future market demand and business growth. Its other features include smart and agile operations, fast changeover, and a space-saving design.
Climax Packaging Machinery, Inc.
Climax Packaging Machinery manufactures custom multipacking equipment for the beverage industry handling glass bottles, cans and PET. Company can help breweries, beverage manufacturers and co-packers automate variety pack lines and achieve speeds from 7 to 50 cases/min. and quick changeover.
EDL, a Massman Company
EDL supplies a comprehensive lineup of tray wrapping machines designed to accumulate, collate, place and wrap tray/pad supported multipacks. Featured tray wrapping machines include the Single Roll Wrapper, which can accommodate up to 50 packs per minute and print registration. Other tray wrapping systems options include a continuous motion inline wrapper, flight bar wrapper and inline automatic wrapper. Other multipack wrappers include EDL’s Flight Bar Automatic shrink wrapping machine, designed for wrapping light weight products or small multipacks that require substantial handling during wrapping and the Inline Automatic Shrink Wrap machine, designed to shrink wrap a variety of products, including bundling and shrink wrapping cartons to shrink wrapping large windows in multiple package enclosures at low to moderate speeds.
Morrison Container Handling Solutions
Morrison Container Handling Solutions offers custom-engineered equipment that will create pack patterns for variety packs or multi-pack needs. Integrating various different design approaches, Morrison builds full systems that prepare containers to go into the final stage of the boxing, cartoning, bundling, or shrink wrapping process. Morrison designs systems to be nimble, adaptable and responsive, equipped with controls packages that run different variety packs or multi-pack options all on one system. If a customer needs to run different containers on the same system, Morrison can even equip it with quick change parts to easily adapt container handling to the new product size now and in the future. Recent custom multipacking applications have included: a divide/stack/group system using timing screw drive units for macaroni and cheese cups in 2, 4 or 6 multipack patterns; and integrated systems for variety pack sorting and filling of single serve coffee pods; and a three-screw stacking custom design assembly for sleeving sour cream tubs.
PDC International Corp.
PDC's product line of shrink sleeve and shrink banding machines includes multipacking and twin packing systems designed to help CPG companies to create twin packs of their products right on their production lines, without the additional labor, freight and multiple handling required to assemble these packs by a third party. Tooling can be installed on the inline machine, or set up so that product is diverted onto a spur conveyor through the machine and shrink tunnel. Systems can also be set up off-line, in a production or distribution area, for twin packing on an as-needed basis.
Texwrap Packaging Systems
Texwrap shrink wrappers provide packaging solutions that range from multipacks for containment to retail-ready multipacks produced using high-speed orientation and print registration. Texwrap's shrink wrapping solutions provide exceptional performance and reliability required in fast paced, and round-the-clock operations. Designed for performance, reliability and flexibiity to accommodate a variety of product sizes, Texwrap solutions with “Generation 3” servo technology smoothly integrate the servo technology, PLC control, and the mechanical elements of the machine. Built-in features include programmable cross seal pressure, automatic speed modulation in response to upstream production, “auto space” to precisely separate randomly-fed products, and a “maximizer” control to bring the entire system to top speed. Texwrap equipment pairs with many different types of upstream feeding systems and integrates into almost any application.
